Daniel Giansiracusa has been offered a two week match suspension after being charged with a level two engaging in rough conduct offence in Saturday’s clash against Port Adelaide.

The incident involving Port Adelaide’s Jared Polec occurred in the fourth quarter of the Bulldogs interstate clash and brings with it a level two offence (225 demerit points and a two-match sanction).

The charge was broken down into five activation points, including reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and high contact (two points).

Giansiracusa’s previous record – with 70.30 demerit points carried over from within the past 12 months – brings the penalty to 295.31 points.

An early plea reduces the sanction by 25 per cent to 221.48 points but will remain a two match sanction.

The Bulldogs have until midday on Tuesday 24 June 2014 to respond to Giansiracusa’s penalty.
