Last time they met: Richmond (3.11 29) def. by W.B. (6.7 43), pre-season practice match, 2021 at the Swinburne Centre

Friday night will be the first time the AFLW Bulldogs and Tigers meet for premiership points, having only faced off in practice matches since Richmond entered the league. Their most recent scratch match hit-out came in January this year, which saw the Dogs fight off a sluggish start to storm home five goals to one in the last term and earn bragging rights. Captain Ellie Blackburn led from the front slotting two fourth-quarter goals, followed closely behind by vice-captain Brooke Lochland who contributed with two of her own. Draftee Jess Fitzgerald also impressed in her first hit-out, while second-year Pup Nell Morris-Dalton dazzled in the second half.
