Star midfielder Adam Treloar headlines a group of five additions to the Western Bulldogs’ squad for Sunday’s match against Essendon at Marvel Stadium.

Treloar is joined by Taylor Duryea, Lachie McNeil, Lewis Young and Ed Richards in the extended squad of 26 players.

The 28-year-old has not featured since round 10, when he suffered an ankle syndesmosis injury against St Kilda.

Duryea (managed) and Richards (concussion) missed Sunday’s win against the Adelaide Crows in Ballarat through injury, while McNeil and Young impressed at VFL level in a win against the Casey Demons. All four have been named on an eight-man interchange bench.

The Bulldogs will make at least two changes from the win against the Crows.

Versatile forward Mitch Hannan will miss with a shoulder injury, while young gun Cody Weightman has been managed after 11 consecutive games.

The match will also mark two Bulldog player milestones.

Key forward Josh Bruce will play his 150th AFL match and key defender Zaine Cordy will feature in his 100th AFL match.

The Bulldogs will finalise their team of 22 players and four emergencies at 5pm on Friday, with the medical sub confirmed an hour before the bounce on Sunday.
