The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation, in conjunction with Mental Health Foundation Australia will be hosting the 2021 Longest Breakfast Table for Mental Health.

WBCF Ambassador and recently retired Bulldog, Lin Jong, has been confirmed as the keynote speaker, with the event set to be held on Sunday 3 October at VU Whitten Oval*.

The Longest Breakfast Table for Mental Health is an initiative of MHFA in partnership with the WBCF, which aims to raise awareness of youth mental health and suicide prevention within the multicultural community.

Sadly, suicide is the leading cause of death among young Australians, with about 350 young people aged 15 - 24 taking their own lives every year. For every youth suicide, there are 100 - 200 more attempts.

Money raised from the event will also go towards establishing evidence-based, accredited training program and modules specific to suicide prevention, and mental health and wellbeing promotion.

Tickets are available for purchase here.

This week, the Bulldogs, AFL and Lifeline Australia teamed up to launch the We’re All Mental Health Supporters campaign, which calls on everyone – no matter your allegiance – to join together to confront the crucial issue of mental health in our society.
