Bailey Smith’s miraculous left-foot running goal in the semi-final against Brisbane has been named the second-best Bulldogs’ Goal of the Year, as voted by the fans.
With scores level and a spot in a preliminary final up for grabs, Smith went bang on his left, slotting the clutch goal to put his side six points up in the dying minutes.
What arguably made the moment even more iconic however, was how the 20-year-old reacted – adopting the ‘ice in his veins’ celebration from NBA star D’Angelo Russell.
