The Western Bulldogs have confirmed a squad of 25 players for Saturday’s AFLW practice match against North Melbourne.

Headlining the team is skipper Ellie Blackburn and vice-captain Brooke Lochland, while Hannah Scott returns to the field after sustaining an ankle injury late in the 2021 season.

Off-season additions Elle Bennetts, Richelle Cranston, Amanda Ling, Aurora Smith and Alice Edmonds will pull on the red, white and blue for the first time against opposition.

Three VFLW-listed Bulldogs in 2021 captain Riley Christgoergl, Eliza Morrison and Jemima Woods have also been added as top-up players.

The match will be open to the public, with gates open from 12pm.

The first bounce will be at 1pm, with quarter-by-quarter updates available via @BulldogsW on Twitter.

The Bulldogs will have a week off over Christmas, before returning to training ahead of their 2022 NAB AFLW season opener against Melbourne on Saturday 8 January.
