The Western Bulldogs’ all-time AFLW membership tally has officially been broken, with just under three weeks until Round 1 of the 2022 season.

The Bulldogs have eclipsed their previous record of 2455 members, with season six of the elite women’s competition to kick off in early January.

Crowds will be welcomed back to VU Whitten Oval in the New Year, with the Dogs set to host four games at the venue, plus one more at Mars Stadium in Ballarat.

The Bulldogs take on Melbourne in the opening round on Saturday, February 8.

The AFLW record has also helped the Club to its highest ever overall membership tally before Christmas, with more than 35,000 members already signed up for the 2022 season.

The Club is also on the verge of breaking its record for Ballarat members, following the extension of the partnership between the Bulldogs, the State Government and the City of Ballarat.

The Dogs are on track to achieve 50,000 members next year, which would be the first time in Club history that mark has been reached.
