A quartet of Bulldogs have been recognised in AFL Media’s Team of the Week for round nine, following impressive individual performances at the weekend.

Vice-captain Brooke Lochland and leader Bonnie Toogood were named in the forward-line, kicking three and two goals respectively in the 60-point win over West Coast.

Midfield bull Kirsty Lamb was named in the centre after registering 20 disposals, eight inside 50s and five clearances, while key defender Katie Lynch claimed a spot in the back-line with 18 disposals and eight marks and nine intercepts.

The full team for round nine can be seen below.

The team is selected by AFL Media’s Gemma Bastiani, and selected to mirror the All-Australian side: five defenders, six midfielders (including a ruck), five forwards and five interchange players.

Like the All-Australian team, it has players selected in general categories, rather than in traditional positions.
