AFLW Bulldogs’ season seven fixture confirmed

Western Bulldogs to open their season seven campaign with a home clash against GWS at IKON Park on Sunday 28 August.

The AFLW season seven fixture has today been confirmed, with the Western Bulldogs to open their season seven campaign with a home clash against GWS at IKON Park on Sunday 28 August.

It marks the first of five Bulldogs’ home matches, with redevelopment works at VU Whitten Oval meaning the venue is unavailable for the upcoming season.

As a result, the Bulldogs will host a second game at IKON Park (round three), one at the Swinburne Centre (round five), and two at Mars Stadium (rounds six and eight).

The Dogs will travel interstate twice, meeting Port Adelaide at Alberton Oval in round two on Saturday 3 September (time to be confirmed) and West Coast at Mineral Resources Park in round nine on Saturday 22 October.

They will also meet expansion side Hawthorn for the first time in round four (time TBC), with all Saturday games across September to remain floating times to allow for double-header opportunities to coincide with the AFL Finals series.

The Hampson-Hardeman Cup against Melbourne will be held in round seven, with the Bulldogs to play at Casey Fields for the first time in Club history.

The round 10 match-up against Carlton at IKON Park is also a floating fixture.

Indigenous Round will be spread across rounds three and four, while the Bulldogs will celebrate Pride Round against St Kilda in round eight.

A four-week finals series will be held in November, culminating with the AFLW Grand Final to be held on the weekend of 26 – 27 November.
