The Western Bulldogs have named a 26-player squad for Saturday’s practice match against GWS at VU Whitten Oval.

Headlining the squad is former number one draft pick Gabby Newton, who will return to the field after missing season six through injury.

Draftees Rylie Wilcox, Heidi Woodley and Keely Coyne will all get their first tastes of AFLW action, with recruits Millie Brown, Daisy Bateman and Brooke Vernon pulling on the red, white and blue for the first time.

Fan favourite Ellie Blackburn will also play, with Eleanor Brown, Katie Lynch, Bailey Hunt and Rocky Cranston set to feature too.

The match will be free entry, with gates open to the public from 10.30am.

The first bounce will be at 11.30am, with quarter-by-quarter updates available via @BulldogsW on Twitter.

The match will also be live-streamed on westernbulldogs.com.au.

The Bulldogs will meet GWS again a fortnight later in their season seven opener on Sunday 28 August at IKON Park.
