Footscray captain Lachie Sullivan has been named in the 40-man VFL Team of the Year squad.
From his 17 matches this season, Sullivan averaged 28 disposals, seven clearances, six tackles and five inside 50s.
Slotting forward on a number of occasions, he also contributed 10 goals for the season.
Sullivan is the Bulldogs’ sole representative.
Minor premier Casey had four players included in the squad, alongside Box Hill (four) and Werribee (four).
The final team will be named on Monday 12 September, as part of the VFL and VFLW awards.
Footscray finished the 2022 home-and-away season with nine wins in 11th spot on the ladder.
