Season in short:

The talented Murray Bushrangers midfielder had a slow start to his career, battling injuries in 2013. Highly rated by the Bulldogs for his stoppage work, Prudden played seven matches in the Williamstown reserves before being sidelined with a lingering ankle injury. Restricted to rehabilitation and weights training for the most part of the season, Prudden worked tirelessly to strengthen his body in preparation for season 2014.

Stat that mattered:

23 disposals against Collingwood in the VFL seniors was a highlight for the 19-year-old who was named among the best in just his second game at that level. Despite playing only two games with the VFL seniors, Prudden acquitted himself well, adjusting to the tempo and more contested environment with ease.

What they said:

“I think I have seen a lot of growth both mentally and physically, putting on a lot of weight this year – it’s been a good step up and I should be able to play some good senior footy next year. Mentally as well, it’s been a big improvement, I didn’t know what a footy club was about until the start of this year.”

Pre-season focus:

Prudden has already spent considerable time building his frame in the weights room this year and that is expected to continue over the pre-season. The tough midfielder  is already ultra-professional at 19-years of age and will leave no stone unturned this pre-season as he searches for his first senior game in 2014.
