The Western Bulldogs have acquired Pick 4 in the upcoming AFL National Draft after an opening day trade with Gold Coast Suns on Monday.

The Bulldogs will receive picks 4, 46, 51 and a future third-round selection tied to Gold Coast in exchange for selections 10, 17 and the Bulldogs’ future first pick in 2024.

Bulldogs’ General Manager of List and Recruiting, Sam Power said it was an exciting pick swap for the Club.

“We’ve maintained a desire to move up the draft board in 2023 due to the high-level talent available at the top end of the first round,” Power said.

“Given the uncertainty of academy selections and father-son bids, it was also imperative for the Club to explore getting as high as possible and securing Gold Coast’s pick was a priority.

“Acquiring three picks inside the third-round from Gold Coast allows for flexibility throughout the AFL National Draft and AFL Trade Period.”

The Bulldogs’ current draft order is 4, 37, 46, 51, 64 and 70.
