Western Bulldogs train-on player Jorja Borg will make her AFLW debut against Sydney on Saturday afternoon.

It comes after Bree McFarlane was withdrawn through illness, leaving the Dogs with 20 available senior-listed players and the opportunity for a train-on player to be named.

Borg is no stranger to the red, white and blue, having enjoyed a dominant VFLW Bulldogs’ campaign this year.

The ruck averaged 30.4 hit-outs, 10 disposals and three tackles from her 14 matches.

Her efforts were so impressive that she was crowned the Club’s joint Best and Fairest winner, while also being recognised in the VFLW Team of the Year.

She will wear guernsey number 25 this weekend.

Fellow train-on player Jaimi Tabb will replace Borg as an emergency for Saturday’s Indigenous Round match.

Capacity at VU Whitten Oval is strictly limited, so secure your tickets before you get to the ground or sign up as an AFLW member today to avoid missing out.

Please note: due to areas of the ground remaining a construction site, the main entrance to VU Whitten Oval is now located at Cross Street (Gate 1).
