Blackburn was the only Bulldog to average more than 20 disposals a game (26.8), and one of just 10 players across the league to average more than 26 touches.

The race for leading marker was much closer, with Ellie Blackburn just pipping emerging defender Issy Grant by two. Forward-turned-defender Gabby Newton also relished her new role, clunking a career-best 41 marks for the year.

The Bulldogs’ midfield led the way for tackles in 2023, with Isabelle Pritchard laying 60 for the year – made even more impressive by the fact she missed one game. Kirsty Lamb equalled her career-best output with 54 (also achieved in 2021), while Alice Edmonds laid the most tackles by a ruck across the competition.

Midfielder-turned-defender Elisabeth Georgostathis finished the season with the most rebound 50s (37), while all-rounder Ellie Blackburn sat second. After making her return from an ACL injury in round three, Aurora Smith finished strong with 18 rebounds.
