Western Bulldogs draftees Sam Davidson and Josh Dolan will make their AFL debuts against North Melbourne this Saturday evening.
The duo were picked up in the most recent national draft, cementing their spots in the line-up after impressive pre-seasons.
Recruit Matt Kennedy will also make his Dogs’ debut in Round 1, following 99 games at Carlton and 19 games at GWS.
Davidson all but cemented his spot following the Dogs’ AAMI Community Series match against Hawthorn, registering 29 disposals, four marks, one goal and 617 meters gained.
Members and fans saw a glimpse of Dolan in the Essendon match simulation, with his creativity and running sure to add plenty to the Dogs’ mix on Saturday night.
The announcements were made in front of the playing group at the end of Thursday’s training session.
The Bulldogs will announce the remainder of their Round 1 team tonight at 6.20pm AEDT.
