Saturday’s 90-point win over Port Adelaide saw Tim English at his dynamic best, amassing 27 disposals and 30 hitouts, while also registering three majors for the third time in his career.

English’s career hitout average of 22.24 is the highest of any Bulldog since the stat was recorded and currently sits third in the Club’s all-time career total hitouts (3064), behind Brownlow medalist Scott Wynd (3,514) and All Australian Will Minson (4,071).

Star midfielder Ed Richards has played an invaluable role in the Club’s scoring power this season, currently ranked first in the league for score involvements (67) and equal first in goal assists (12, tied with Adelaide’s James Peatling).

The Bulldogs remain second in total points scored this season (815), narrowly behind the Adelaide Crows (829); both teams have begun their 2025 campaigns with five wins and three losses.

Rhylee West is emerging as one of the most damaging small forwards in the league; his 26 forward-50 ground-ball gets are the most by any player in 2025, resulting in 12 goals and seven goal assists.

West’s current 2025 goal tally is the second highest of his career, well on track to beat last season’s record of 25.

Saturday’s clash with Port Adelaide was the 10th time the Bulldogs have taken to the field during a federal election polling day since joining the VFL, and the second consecutive election that has seen the Club play for points at Mars Stadium.
