The Western Bulldogs have made two changes for Marngrook at Marvel Stadium against Essendon.

Arthur Jones has been named and will fittingly run out in the 2025 First Nations guernsey which honours his family and Noongar heritage.

Taylor Duryea has also been recalled, adding over 200 games of experience to the backline.

The duo come in at the expense of Harvey Gallagher and Caleb Poulter.

Jones will join Lachy Bramble, Sam Davidson, Lachie McNeil and Laith Vandemeer on the interchange bench, with one to be named the sub.

The 2025 First Nations guernsey was designed by Kamilya Lowana White, a proud Aboriginal artist from Naarm with Kija Bardi heritage.

After debuting it in Darwin last weekend, Ryley Sanders (Palawa) will again play in the guernsey too, which honours his mother and grandmother.

The match will also mark the 31st annual EJ Whitten Cup.

Tom Liberatore, combined with his father Tony, will move into ninth position for the most VFL/AFL games played by a father and son pairing.

The Liberatores sit on a combined 526 games, and will equal Tim and Jobe Watson’s 527 when Tom takes to the field this weekend.

Marngrook at Marvel Stadium is a new concept for Sir Doug Nicholls Round, which celebrates the origins of Australian Rules football.

The match will begin at 7:35pm AEST on Saturday evening and be broadcast via Fox Footy and Kayo Sports.
