Possessed to the Forty nines

Enough can’t be said about Bailey Dale’s monster performance against the Bombers.

The defender’s 49 disposals were the most by a Bulldog since Ryan Griffen and Jack Macrae’s shared 47, and the equal-eighth most by any player in the AFL era (1990 onwards).

Of those players who gathered at least 49 possessions in a match, all but one went on to poll Brownlow votes for their performance at season’s end.
