Footscray has dominated Coburg at Barry Plant Park with a convincing 44-point victory in Round 11.
A complete four-quarter performance from the 'Scray proved the difference, leading from start to finish in the 9.13 (67) to 17.9 (111) result.
The Bulldogs started sharply, with Will Lewis slotting a precise goal from distance and quickly adding another.
Luke Kennedy then made his presence felt, while Caleb Poulter’s two early goals extended the lead to 19 points by quarter-time.
In slippery conditions, Footscray was cleaner with the ball and applied plenty of pressure to force turnovers. The visitors' ability to link through the corridor and create space inside 50 was a decisive factor early on.
Momentum built through the middle quarters, with Lachie Jaques and Cameron Owen each contributing two goals.
Harvey Gallagher, Fred Valpied and Luca Muratore also registered majors as Footscray surged past the 100-point mark early in the last.
Cooper Hynes led the way with 31 disposals (13 kicks, 18 handballs), nine clearances, and four tackles, earning the Robbie Evans Medal for best on ground.
Supporting him were Jedd Busslinger, who gathered 26 disposals and 10 marks, and Caleb Poulter, who impacted forward with four goals, 18 disposals and five marks.
Cooper Craig-Peters (22 disposals, six tackles, 11 clearances) was influential at stoppages, while Billy Crofts (22 touches, 14 handballs) displayed clean hands and composure in traffic.
Defensively, Taylor Duryea (21 disposals, eight marks), Nick Coffield, and Liam Jones remained disciplined and composed, limiting Coburg’s scoring opportunities and providing reliable rebounds.
Will Lewis was effective too, kicking four goals from 14 touches.
The Bulldogs will look to build on this form as they prepare to face Frankston at Kinectic Stadium on June 13.
