AFLW Bulldogs Rylie Wilcox, Kaylee Kimber and Dom Carruthers have committed to longer contracts at Mission Whitten Oval.

Wilcox and Kimber have signed on until at least the end of the 2027 NAB AFLW Season, while Carruthers is locked in until at least the end of 2026.

It’s a rapid rise in particular for Kimber, who was signed as an injury replacement player less than 12 months ago.

The 21-year-old defender slotted into the line-up seamlessly, playing every game after making her Bulldogs debut in Week 4 against Brisbane last year.

Wilcox was drafted with the Club’s first selection in 2022, playing 30 of a possible 32 games since her debut in the opening round of Season 7.

The 20-year-old enjoyed a breakout campaign last year, culminating in a career-high second-place finish in the Club’s best and fairest.

Carruthers first joined the Kennel during the 2023 Supplementary Draft and has missed only two matches since debuting in Round 1 that same year.

The 29-year-old flourished with more inside midfield minutes last season, but has the versatility and running capacity to also play outside or in the forward line.

“It’s exciting to have Kaylee, Rylie and Dom extend their time with us - their commitment speaks to the strong environment that is building here under Tam (Hyett’s) leadership,” AFLW List Manager Dan Fisher said.

“Kaylee’s story is a great one, arriving at the club only days before our Round 1 game last season to quickly become a pivotal member of our backline. Her speed, strength, and ability to intercept are weapons, while her hunger for self-improvement this off-season has been second to none.

“It’s hard to believe Rylie is still only 20, but with three seasons under her belt she’s an influential member of our group as a mainstay on the wing. She runs great patterns, sees the game well, is as tough as they come and with a second-place finish in our 2024 best and fairest, we’re excited for what the future holds.

“Dom took her game to another level in her second season with greater midfield opportunity. Her competitiveness and athleticism are high end, while her two highlight reel goals in the VFLW showed the craft and poise she’s been working on.”

The Bulldogs will host Melbourne in Round 1 of the 2025 NAB AFLW Season on Saturday 16 August from 7:35pm AEST.
