The 2025 Youth Leadership Project launched with energy, connection and purpose in April, as over 70 young people from Ballarat, Melton and Melbourne’s Inner West came together for a dynamic two-day camp at Lady Northcote Discovery Camp.
Held across a Wednesday and Thursday, the overnight camp marked the beginning of a five-month journey of personal growth, leadership development and community impact. Participants challenged themselves through high ropes courses, canoeing, archery, and team-building activities — all designed to strengthen confidence, courage and collaboration.
More than just an outdoor experience, the Youth Leadership Project is grounded in co-design — created and delivered in collaboration with young people and the communities they represent. Through a series of workshops, mentoring and peer engagement over the coming months, participants will explore their strengths and develop the skills to lead in their communities.
The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation is proud to continue its commitment to empowering young people through programs that are meaningful, inclusive and community-driven.
