Western Bulldogs midfielder Sarah Poustie has been named the Telstra AFLW Rising Star nominee for Round 12.
The 19-year-old was everywhere in the Dogs’ 45-point win over St Kilda on Sunday, finishing with a career-high 19 disposals, six clearances and four inside 50s.
A self-confessed ‘footy head’, Poustie’s trademark helmet has quickly become a fan favourite and symbolic of her strong attack on the footy.
Drafted with Pick 25 from the Oakleigh Chargers/Old Scotch, she played 10 games in her debut AFLW campaign.
Poustie’s recognition makes her the second Bulldogs Rising Star nominee of the 2025 NAB AFLW season, following Emma McDonald in Round 10.
The 2025 Telstra AFLW Rising Star winner will be announced at the 2025 W Awards and awarded $20,000 from Telstra.
