Newest Bulldog Connor Budarick has touched down in the Mighty West.
Arriving at the Kennel via a trade with the Gold Coast Suns, Budarick checked out his new home this week, ahead of the official pre-season return date.
He said he couldn’t wait to get stuck in.
“It’s obviously a bit of a change but I’m really excited to have this opportunity,” Budarick said.
“It’s a really refreshing feeling walking in this morning, seeing some of the boys and staff and meeting some new people. Overall I’m just really excited for it.
“It’s little bit of a change getting down to Melbourne. (My partner and I) both have some connections here already so that should make the transition really smooth which is a positive for us.”
Budarick is a versatile running defender, having played 55 games across six seasons at the Suns.
He said he hopes to make an impact in the red, white and blue.
“For my career, and to play in the position I feel like I play my best footy in, there was an opportunity to do that here,” Budarick said.
“I love the look of the club and it’s one with a lot of history. That’s something I want to be part of going forward.
“The Bulldogs seem like a great fit for me.”
The playing group will return for 2026 pre-season training later this month.
