Elaine Grigg has been named in the AFL Players Association’s 22under22 team for the first time in her career.

Grigg, 19, was electric this season, averaging 11.1 disposals and 5.8 tackles to earn herself a spot in the fan-voted team.

She also booted six goals, finding herself on the half-forward flank alongside Gold Coast’s Havana Harris and GWS’ Zarlie Goldsworthy.

Grigg was the 10th most popular player, voted in 58% of the submissions.

The excitement machine was one of three Bulldogs chosen in the squad, alongside first-year forward Emma McDonald and tough winger Rylie Wilcox.

Eagle Ella Roberts was voted captain, with Geelong’s Georgie Prespakis voted vice-captain.

The fan-voted concept, presented by Intrepid Travel, recognises the best 22 players aged 22 and under for the entirety of the AFLW season.
