With the 2026 AFL fixture now out, we’ve picked six must-see games of the Dogs’ season.
Round 1 v GWS
Saturday 14 March, 1:15pm
Marvel Stadium (H)
The Bulldogs faithful won’t have to wait long for their first home game of the season, hosting the Giants on Saturday afternoon in Round 1. The Dogs enjoyed an 88-point win in their most recent meeting, and will be hoping for a similar result to start their campaign on a high.
Round 4 v Essendon
Sunday 5 April, 7:20pm
Marvel Stadium (H)
After a successful Easter Sunday in 2025, the Bulldogs will again have the Sunday night slot in 2026. Hosting cross-river rivals Essendon after a day spent with family, friends and lots of chocolate, the Dogs will be striving to make Easter Sunday even more memorable.
Round 7 v Sydney
Thursday 23 April, 7:30pm
Marvel Stadium (H)
The Dogs will launch the ANZAC Appeal Round in 2026 when they welcome the Swans to Marvel for Thursday night footy. Marking 10 years since that drought-breaking premiership too, this clash is sure to draw a huge crowd ahead of the long weekend.
Round 8 v Fremantle
Friday 1 May, 7:30pm
Marvel Stadium (H)
The Dogs will be seeking redemption against the Dockers, who knocked them out of finals contention in a disappointing finish in Round 24 this year. While the stakes won’t be as high this time around, a win under the lid would go a long way in the Dogs’ pursuit of success.
Round 11 v Melbourne
Sunday 24 May, 3:15pm
Marvel Stadium (H)
The Bulldogs will get their chance to celebrate Indigenous culture and acknowledge past trailblazers at a home game in the second week of Sir Doug Nicholls Round. With the guernsey and theme yet to be revealed, the dedicated Indigenous Round will also mark its 20th year, providing even more reason to attend the special occasion.
Round 12 v Collingwood
Saturday 30 May, 7:35pm
Marvel Stadium (H)
It truly doesn’t get bigger than this. The Pies spoilt the Dogs’ 100 -year celebration earlier this year, and with a massive crowd expected for this prime-time clash, we’d recommend locking in your seats for this one early. The match-ups are mouth-watering and with some of the best players in the competition set to take the field, you won’t want to miss it.
