AFLW captain De Berry has been named the 2025 Club Community Award winner, recognising her exceptional leadership, service, and impact across the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation’s programs.

Through her guest speaking role in the Daughters of the West program, Berry's contribution this year stood out for its authenticity, courage, and influence.

She shared personal reflections on leadership, resilience, and backing yourself - messages that resonated deeply with participants - while her openness and vulnerability created space for meaningful conversations.

Her achievements on and off the field also continue to inspire.

Berry made history as the first active AFLW player to coach a senior men’s team this year, embodying the belief that leadership has no boundaries and that carving new paths matters.

One program graduate described the impact of her session: “I took away two key things: the power of setting small, achievable progress goals, and the importance of creating opportunities for those coming behind - a hand up, not a handout.”

Berry’s commitment to creating opportunities in male-dominated spaces, elevating women and girls in sport, and showing up authentically as a leader has left an indelible mark on the community.

The Western Bulldogs Community Foundation congratulate Berry on being named the 2025 Club Community Award winner and thank her for the remarkable contribution she continues to make.

As the community arm of the Club, the Western Bulldogs Community Foundation delivers life-changing initiatives in health and wellbeing, youth leadership, cultural diversity, social inclusion, and community advocacy.
