Former Bulldogs sharpshooter and captain Kelvin Templeton will return to Mission Whitten Oval this weekend to sign copies of his debut novel.
The dual Coleman Medallist, Brownlow Medallist and Australian Football Hall of Fame inductee - who kicked 494 goals in 143 games for Footscray - has forged a fascinating post-playing career, pursuing business and study opportunities around the world before settling back in Melbourne and becoming an author.
His first book, 'Collision', is set in the mid-1970s and tells the story of Joshua 'Clover' Shamrock, a goalkicking sensation whose career is cut short and who must find a way to deal with life after footy and the potential revelation of dark secrets from his past.
Templeton, who was this year selected in the 25 Greatest Bulldogs list to go alongside his inclusion in the Club's Team of the Century, will be at the Bulldogs Shop from 10am on Saturday to meet fans and sign copies of his book, which will be available for purchase.
