Young Bulldogs Jordan Croft and Lachie Jaques have committed their future to the red, white and blue, signing new deals heading into the 2026 season.

Croft, 20, has penned a three-year extension, keeping the forward at the Kennel until the end of the 2029 season.

Jaques,19, has extended by a further two seasons, staying at Mission Whitten Oval until at least the end of the 2028 campaign.

Despite not making his AFL debut in 2025, Jaques has shown plenty of promise as a rebounding half-back, playing a pivotal role in Footscray’s VFL Premiership run.

Drafted with Pick 29 in the 2024 National Draft, the Geelong Falcons product has had a productive pre-season and is shaping as an important part of the Bulldogs squad.

Croft played the final two games of the AFL season, making his debut against West Coast and kicking two goals. The father-son selection continues to develop and display positive attributes at AFL and VFL level.

Bulldogs Executive Manager Men’s Football Sam Power said he was thrilled to have both youngsters sign on.

“Both Lachie and Jordan are important parts of our Club’s future and we’re really pleased to have them commit to us,” Power said.

“Jordan displayed a number of his athletic traits and ability to hit the scoreboard in the late stages of our AFL campaign last year, which should give him a lot of confidence heading into the 2026 season.

“Lachie has really impressed us during this pre-season with his ability to provide rebound from defence and make good decisions with the ball in hand.

“With another pre-season under their belt, we're continuing to see improvement from both players, putting them in the mix for senior opportunities this year.”
