Lachie Jaques and Michael Sellwood will make their league debuts this Saturday night against Brisbane in Opening Round.

It’s welcome reward for the duo, who did their call-up chances no harm in the Dogs’ pre-season practice matches last month.

In the AAMI Community Series win over Hawthorn, Jaques registered 16 disposals and five marks, while Sellwood collected 13 disposals and four marks.

The duo were told of the news following Wednesday’s training session.

Jaques was selected with Pick 29 in the 2024 National Draft.

Sellwood joined the list via last year’s Mid-Season Rookie Draft.

The remainder of the Bulldogs’ Opening Round team will be confirmed at 6:20pm AEDT on Thursday night.
