Sam Darcy and Bailey Dale will suit up for the Western Bulldogs in Opening Round against Brisbane on Saturday night at the Gabba.

Both players have been battling back and knee soreness across the past fortnight but have been passed fit to take on the Lions.

As revealed earlier in the week, Lachie Jaques and Michael Sellwood will make their debut in the red, white and blue, having impressed during the pre-season.

Defender Rory Lobb has been named for his 200th game, having played previously at GWS and Fremantle.

Former Sun Connor Budarick will play his first game for the Bulldogs after crossing from Gold Coast late last year.

Harvey Gallagher, Will Lewis and Luke Kennedy have all been named as emergencies for the clash.

The match begins at 7.35pm AEDT and will be broadcast live on Fox Footy and Kayo.
