Will Lewis’s fairytale story will have a new chapter when he makes his senior debut against GWS this Saturday afternoon.
Plucked from Footscray’s VFL program, the 26-year-old SSP signing was elevated to the Dogs’ senior list only nine days ago.
And now his AFL dream will be realised this weekend at Marvel Stadium.
“The last two weeks are pretty unbelievable – I’m still pinching myself from getting on the list so then to debut, it’s pretty crazy to be honest,” Lewis said.
“You obviously don’t ever want to give up on your dream of playing AFL, but the older you get the less likely it does become.
“I’m just thrilled to get the opportunity to run out. It’s what you dream of as a kid so I’m looking forward to Saturday.”
Lewis is one of two changes to the Bulldogs’ line-up for the Round 1 clash against the Giants.
