Bulldogs senior duo Marcus Bontempelli and Rory Lobb will be tested ahead of Sydney on Thursday night at Marvel Stadium.

“Bontempelli suffered a hyperextension to his knee during a contest in last weekend’s clash against Geelong and undertook a precautionary scan,” Head of Sports Medicine, Chris Bell said.

“While no major damage was discovered, Marcus will need to manage some soreness throughout the week and will be assessed to play in coming days.”

“Rory suffered a direct contact injury to his hamstring during the game with scans confirming a significant bleed.

“Rory will continue to be monitored in the next 24 hours before he is determined for selection.”

As per the Club’s update, Sam Darcy has suffered an ACL injury and will miss the remainder of the 2026 season.

Darcy will have surgery next week.

Tom Liberatore suffered a concussion and is recovering within the AFL protocols.

“Tom has pulled up well post the game on the weekend after suffering concussion,” Bell said.

“We will continue to monitor Tom over the next 12 days before making a decision on his return to play availability.

Scans confirmed a low-grade hamstring injury to James O’Donnell and he will miss the next 4-5 weeks.
