Western Bulldogs captain Marcus Bontempelli has jumped to equal-first in the AFLCA Champion Player of the Year award. 

Following a 30-disposal, 10-tackle, seven-clearance and one-goal performance against Port Adelaide, Bontempelli polled nine votes to bring his total to 50 overall. 

It sees him share the lead with Collingwood’s Nick Daicos and Port’s Zak Butters.

Ryley Sanders polled six votes for a game-high 31 disposals and seven clearances, while Michael Sellwood (17 disposals, 10 marks, eight intercepts) was recognised with four votes. 

Bailey Dale (three votes), Tim English (two votes) and Ed Richards (one vote) rounded out the Dogs’ vote-getters.
