The Dogs dominated from start to finish in their pre-season practice match against the GIANTS.

On a perfect Sunday afternoon at Henson Park, the Dogs' teamwork and pressure were on display as they ran out 43-point winners over the GIANTS.

The Dogs lead from the first siren and worked hard defensively to keep their opponents to just one goal after the first quarter.

Pleasingly, it was a number of the young Pups who were a class above.

Youngster Emma McDonald caused all sorts of headaches for the opposition defenders, with her athleticism allowing her to work her opponent up and down the ground.

The 20-year-old finished with a game-high eight marks and one goal to her name, while also playing an unbelievable 100 per cent game.

Elaine Grigg and Riley Wilcox were also impressive through the middle of the ground.

The duo's hard running and work around the contest were often the difference in the Dogs' ability to transition quickly from defence to attack.

Grigg ended the day with 23 disposals and a game-high 12 tackles.

Heidi Woodley also enjoyed her time at Henson Park on Sunday afternoon.

Dom Carruthers chases after the ball during the Dogs' game against the GIANTS.

The young forward's toughness saw her impact the contest throughout the day, while she also found success pushing up the ground at times.

Woodley finished with 20 disposals, five tackles and a goal in a performance to be proud of.

Perfectly complementing the young Pups' efforts was veteran Ellie Blackburn.

Playing both on the ball and across half-forward, Blackburn showcased the impact she can have in multiple roles.

The six-time Club Best and Fairest winner finished with 29 disposals, two goals and four clearances.

As a team, the Dogs were on top in all the major categories, with the hard work being put in paying dividends.

Pressure around the contest was a point of difference, with the Pups' hunting mentality helping them win the contested possession count 124-99, while also laying 52 tackles, including nine inside defensive 50.

With another game now in the books, the Dogs will turn their attention to their final match simulation, taking on the Pies at Mission Whitten Oval next week.
