The Western Bulldogs round three NAB Cup clash against Fremantle has seen a change in venue and will now be played at Rushton Park, Mandurah in WA.
While originally scheduled for Northam, the AFL today determined the ground did not meet league standards and the new venue needed to be appointed, according to AFL General Manager Broadcasting, Scheduling and Legal Affairs Simon Lethlean
“Rushton Park will be ready to host this match on Saturday March 9 for Fremantle and the Bulldogs and, coupled with West Coast’s visit to Northam, enables regional fans in different parts of the state to access the two WA clubs before the premiership season,” Mr Lethlean said.
The Bulldogs NAB Cup campaign will kick off on Friday February 15 2013 against Essendon and Collingwood at Etihad Stadium.
Hawthorn will challenge the Bulldogs in round two on Friday March 1 2013, also at Etihad Stadium, before flying to WA for round three against Fremantle.
