The Bulldogs are locked in to play Collingwood in a Wildcard Final after beating Melbourne at the MCG in Round 24.
The win over the Demons secured 8th spot on the ladder, with the Bulldogs finishing above Collingwood and completing their home-and-away season with a 13-9-1 record.
As part of the new Toyota AFL Finals Series, the teams that finish between 7th and 10th play off for the right to progress to an Elimination Final, with 7th facing 10th and 8th facing 9th.
With the Magpies finishing in 9th, the Bulldogs will 'host' them at the MCG next weekend, with details to be confirmed by the AFL when Round 24 concludes on Sunday night.
The highest ranked Wildcard Final winner will play the team that finishes 6th on the ladder away in an Elimination Final, with the lower ranked winner facing the 5th-placed side.
