Marcus Bontempelli has been named in the 2026 All Australian team, continuing to reinforce his status as one of the competition’s best.

Marking an eighth blazer for the Bulldogs captain, Bontempelli becomes just the seventh player in the history of the honour to have been selected eight or more times.

The 30-year-old enjoyed an impactful 2026 campaign, averaging 26.3 disposals (club-high 11.1 contested) at 73.4% efficiency.

He also kicked 30 goals from his 22 games.

Bontempelli was named in the centre.

The final All Australian team was named during Tuesday night’s AFL Awards, broadcast exclusively on Fox Footy.

The official 2026 All-Australian selection panel comprised of: Andrew Dillon (Chair), Eddie Betts, Jude Bolton, Simon Black, Abbey Holmes, Glen Jakovich, Laura Kane, David Mundy, Joel Selwood and Greg Swann.
