The Western Bulldogs have today informed Oskar Baker, Harvey Gallagher, Lachlan Smith and Zac Walker that they will not be offered contracts in 2027.

Baker arrived at the Kennel at the end of 2022 via the SSP, playing 42 games across four seasons in the red, white and blue.

Gallagher made 28 appearances for the Bulldogs following his selection at Pick 39 in the 2022 Draft, kicking 10 goals.

Lachlan Smith was taken with Pick 47 in the 2023 Draft, making his debut against Sydney in Round 8 this year.

Zac Walker was selected as Pick 12 in the 2025 Mid-Season Draft and despite not making his debut at AFL level played 24 games for Footscray in the VFL.

All four players were part of the VFL premiership side that defeated Southport in the 2025 Grand Final.

Bulldogs Executive Manager Men’s Football Sam Power thanked the quartet for their contributions to the football club.

“Oskar, Harvey, Lachie and Zac have all been popular and dedicated members of our playing group and we thank them for their contributions to the Western Bulldogs,” Power said.

“They are terrific people who will always be welcome back at Mission Whitten Oval.”
