Sarah Poustie has put pen to paper on a two-year contract extension which will see her remain in the red, white and blue until at least the end of the 2028 NAB AFLW season.
Poustie arrived at the Kennel with Pick 25 in 2024, having played 14 of 16 possible matches since her debut in Round 1 last year.
A self-confessed ‘footy head’, the 20-year-old’s trademark helmet has quickly become a fan favourite and symbolic of her strong attack on the footy.
“Sarah is a fanatical worker who will leave no stone unturned to get the best out of herself,” AFLW List Manager Dan Fisher said.
“She’s a classic first-to-arrive, last-to-leave sort of operator, and is a much-loved part of our program.
“She’s a tackling machine with toughness and elite endurance well suited to the modern game by competing at the source and working hard to outnumber at the next contest.
“We’re looking forward to her continued development.”
Poustie joins Amaia Wain, Dom Carruthers and Emma McDonald to have committed to Mission Whitten Oval in recent weeks.
