Ellie Bishop has capped off a remarkable 2026 campaign by claiming her maiden Western Bulldogs VFLW Best and Fairest award. 

The midfielder was recognised for her consistency and impact across the Bulldogs’ campaign, playing every game of the home-and-away season while averaging 22 disposals, two marks and five tackles.

Her outstanding Round 14 performance a highlight of her season, recording a season-high 27 disposals against the Blues. 

Bishop polled 64 votes on the night, after a close count which saw her, Sarah Sansonetti and Jaimi Tabb tied with three games remaining.

India Barker (59 votes) took home runner-up after an exceptional season, while Tabb rounded out the top three with 58 votes.

Kiera Leare was recognised for her outstanding contribution and dedication throughout the year, taking home the Coaches’ Award, while Jemima Wrigley earned the Players’ Player award, as voted by her teammates for her notable leadership as a co-vice captain. 

Scarlett O’Donnell was voted the Best Young Player and Mary Sandral took home the Trainer’s Award.

The night provided a fitting celebration of a Bulldogs side that showed significant growth throughout 2026, reaching finals after missing out on September action in 2025.
