The Western Bulldogs have acquired Hawthorn utility Finn Maginness and Carlton ruck Hudson O’Keeffe along with a raft of draft selections as part of a five-way trade deal.

The deal - which also involved Port Adelaide and Melbourne - was completed on Friday, the fifth day of the Continental Tyres AFL Trade Period.

Maginness - a hard-running mid-forward with elite tagging ability - was a father-son selection in the 2019 draft. The 25-year-old played 64 games for the Hawks, kicking 16 goals.

O'Keeffe is a 21-year-old ruck who has also played as a key forward, finishing as Carlton's leading goalkicker in this year's VFL.

He has played eight games and kicked three goals for the Blues at AFL level.

Along with Maginness and O'Keeffe, the Bulldogs receive three picks in the 2027 draft and three picks in the 2028 draft as well as two late picks in this year's draft.

In return they give up their first and second round picks for this year's draft (currently 12 and 31) along with their 2028 first round pick.
