The media experts have cast their eye over today’s 2020 AFL Fixture announcement.

Champion Data has ranked our draw 12th on the overall ladder of most difficult to least difficult – with West Coast landing the toughest draw and Fremantle the easiest.

But what do the experts have to say about it?

**

The big win is they play just one 2019 finalist (GWS) twice next year, and once again get a great run of games on the quick deck at Marvel Stadium, as well as just one trip to Perth.

Four Friday night games and a Good Friday twilight clash are also positives.

The Dogs start the year with four of the first five games at Marvel and if they can get off to a quick start, they can attack the rest of the year with real confidence.

Best of the lot. The Dogs play only one finalist (GWS) twice and have two double-up games against bottom sides Carlton and Fremantle.

The Dogs are delighted. Nothing to complain about.

We’ll be seeing lots of this superstar midfield on the telly next year. Five Friday night games including Round 1 (Collingwood) and Good Friday (North Melbourne).

Arguably the biggest winners when it comes to the fixture.

They’re the only finalist from 2019 to play just one finalist twice in 2020, while also drawing bottom-six teams Carlton and Fremantle on two occasions.

The Bulldogs only travel interstate five times and none of those road trips are in the final seven rounds.

Five Friday games for the Western Bulldogs is just reward for their stellar season in which they came from the clouds to make finals.
