The Bulldogs kept their top-four chances alive with their biggest victory of the year in round 20.

A 14-goal to two first half saw the Dogs post a 98-point victory against Melbourne, and recording the Club’s highest score for the year.

There was an abundance of positive stats, including kicking the first 12 goals of the night, before the Dees kicked their first 15 minutes into the second term.

Perhaps most telling was the halftime lead of 73 points, the biggest of the season and the third highest in the Club’s history.

There were 12 individual goalkickers, with Jake Stringer kicking four and Jarrad Grant, Marcus Bontempelli and Tory Dickson all kicking three.

“We’re scoring heavily, but defensively we’ve been really sound and that balance is really important to us,” senior coach Luke Beveridge said after the match.

“We had a dozen goalkickers and that’s always healthy.”
