Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bulldogs each week exclusive to westernbulldogs.com.au.

LAST WEEK

The Dogs took the four points in a close game on Saturday night.

Leading the scorers was ball-magnet Jack Macrae. He finished with nine tackles to go with his 27 touches to post 117 Fantasy points. He is now averaging 103.1 for the season and going at 122.3 over the last three rounds to be the in-form man from the kennel.

Matthew Boyd just keeps on keeping on. The DEF/MID had 30 disposals for 108 points and should be in your plans as he is a lock to be a top six defender.

As a mid-season money maker, Joel Hamling (63) is doing his job nicely. Already up $86K from his starting price, the defender will continue to increase in value with his low breakeven of 9.

TOP 5 SCORERS V ST KILDA

  • 117 – Jack Macrae (MID, $566,000)
  • 108 – Matthew Boyd (DEF/MID, $553,000)
  • 96 – Easton Wood (DEF, $388,000)
  • 94 – Robert Murphy (DEF, $427,000)
  • 94 – Jason Johannisen (DEF, $377,000)

ON THE RADAR

If you jumped on Mitch Wallis for a cash grab, kudos. He is up $155K for the season but his breakeven is creeping up to 88. We should definitely hold him this week however his growth may be limited if he doesn’t post some bigger scores in the coming weeks.

He could be sideways traded to the best Fantasy player of 2014, Tom Rockliff, in the next couple of weeks. This would be a job well done for the ball-winning midfielder.

WHAT’S COMING UP

It has been well over 12 months since the Bulldogs took on Carlton but that changes on Saturday night at Etihad Stadium.

One of the best forwards of this year, Luke Dahlhaus, was magnificent in round five last year with 114 points. Jack Macrae posted 113 from 30 disposals and Matthew Boyd collected 28 touches for 106.
