Warnie from The Traders, AFL.com.au’s NAB AFL Fantasy experts, will be taking a look at the Bulldogs each week exclusive to westernbulldogs.com.au.

LAST WEEK

Although the result didn’t go the Bulldogs way, there were some good Fantasy performances to take out of Saturday night’s game against the Power.

Midfielder Jack Macrae (130) finished with 31 disposals and eight tackles to top score. He is showing some great form after spending some time in the VFL.

Koby Stevens was the only other Western Bulldog to top the ton with 114. His 11 tackles helped boost a score that could have been even bigger. The FWD/MID had 22 disposals, but 14 were on by hand – Fantasy coaches want the extra point he gets for getting the ball on the boot!

The biggest price mover of recent weeks, Mitch Wallis, added $36K with his 91 point effort.

TOP 5 SCORERS V PORT ADELAIDE

  • 130 – Jack Macrae (MID, $531,000)
  • 114 – Koby Stevens (FWD/MID, $463,000)
  • 91 – Mitch Wallis (MID, $437,000)
  • 87 – Matthew Boyd (DEF/MID, $561,000)
  • 85 – Will Minson (RUC, $443,000)

ON THE RADAR

The byes start this weekend where we have three rounds where six teams will have a bye.

If you are just worrying about your default Classic league, then there are no games over the next three weeks however you are still able (and should) make trades to make your team better as you resume head-to-head battles in round 14.

If you are going for overall ranking, then you need to be fielding as many players are possible each week as your best 18 scores from within your 22 on field players will count towards your score each round.

As the Dogs have the bye this week, coaches are looking to sit tight and then bring Matthew Boyd into their backlines prior to round 12. Luke Dahlhaus has been one of the best available forwards and he is worth a look after this weekend.

He hasn’t set the world on fire with his scores, but Joel Hamling has been an asset to the Dogs in his first two games. Scoring 41 and 68, he is worth considering as a downgrade option as his breakeven is zero and he is priced at just $162,000.

WHAT’S COMING UP

With the bye this week, the Western Bulldogs take on the Brisbane Lions at Etihad Stadium in round 12.

The Saturday night game is a Match Day game and you can pick your team of seven players at http://fantasy.afl.com.au for a chance to win $10,000.

Last time the two sides met, Jack Macrae (139) had a busy game with 35 touches. He would be a great captain selection if he can bust out another huge score.
