“Veszpremi has been playing a really good role for Williamstown in the VFL for the last few weeks and has been really solid down back so he gets his opportunity,” Grant said.
 
“[Justin Sherman’s] has unfortunately had an injury interrupted pre-season and has played the last few weeks at Williamstown and once again, off the back of really good form, finds himself back in the side.”
 
New faces rounding out the Bulldogs extended interchange bench include Mitch Wallis, mature aged recruit Tory Dickson and rookie elevation Mark Austin who all continue to impress for Williamstown.
 
Austin was elevated to the primary list to replace Tom Williams who was placed on the long term injury list last week - he previously played 15 games for Carlton before being rookie listed by the Bulldogs in 2011.
 
Grant says the team set to face Melbourne on Sunday looks solid despite the forced changes to Brian Lake (due to suspension) and Clay Smith (soreness).
 
“Although we have had a couple of forced changes, I think our team this week is quite steady and quite balanced,” Grant said.

 

“We are certainly looking forward to taking on Melbourne Sunday afternoon at the MCG.”
