Buoyed by the signing of former Essendon forward Stewart Crameri, Western Bulldogs List Manager Jason McCartney says the 25-year-old will make an impact on and off the field at the kennel in 2014.

“[It’s a] terrific day to finally get Stewie across the line – it is just great for the Club to have some of his calibre who is now going to line up in the side,” McCartney said.

While Crameri has forged a career as a dependable lead-up forward, his strong endurance and pace could also see him spend time through the middle next year.

“He will play in the forward line, he adds another dimension to our forward line – he has that great endurance and also speed and power,” he said.

“But also see an opportunity for him to develop his game and spend a bit of time in the midfield potentially.”

The Bulldogs secured Crameri in return for pick number 26 in the 2013 AFL National Draft, which has been forwarded to Essendon.
