Young forward Liam Jones has been named alongside pre-season high performers Matthew Boyd and Daniel Cross as three players who have impressed Strength and Conditioning Coach Andy Barnett this summer.
While impressed with the entire playing group by their eager attitudes and accountability in the weights room, Barnett singled out Boyd, Cross and Jones as players who stand out.
“I like this group because they all get after it – they come in, they’re anxious, I ask them to do something and they do it,” Barnett said.
“I rarely have to follow up and say add more weight or add an extra set.
“People that maybe stand out a little bit more – Matthew Boyd has done an excellent job, Daniel Cross, Liam Jones.”
The 21-year-old forward looks to have considerably bulked up his frame this pre-season, as he looks to add to his 37 career games.
