The Western Bulldogs today announced livewire Luke Dahlhaus has re-signed with the Club, ensuring the emerging Whitten Oval cult figure will wear the red, white and blue well into the future. 

In a fantastic outcome for Bulldogs Members and Fans, Dahlhaus has extended his contract with the Dogs one year ahead of the conclusion of his existing deal.

The dreadlocked 19 year-old is thrilled to be continuing his football career at Whitten Oval.  

“It means a lot to me and I’m just really happy about it,” Dahlhaus said today. 

“I am just enjoying playing my role at the moment and hopefully, I keep doing that, and we get a few more wins”. 

Recruited from the Geelong Falcons as a first round selection in the 2010 AFL Rookie Draft (pick 22 overall), Dahlhaus’ speed, as well as his ability to win his own ball, saw the youngster elevated off the rookie list in Round 12 last year. 

Since his senior debut Dahlhaus has excelled, displaying an exciting brand of football throughout his 21 games and securing his spot as an integral member of the Bulldogs line up.

Dahlhaus’ lightning speed and an uncompromising work ethic not only earned him a Rising Star Nomination in his first year of football, but also the respect and admiration of many of the Bulldog faithful. 

Bulldogs List Manager, Jason McCartney said today the Club was thrilled to have secured the long term future of one of the team’s rising talents.
